- My family has been involved with the Lake for almost 50 years. My grandparents, George and Gene Wilcox, bought a house on the Lake in the early 60's. The lake has been enjoyed now by 4 generations of our family. In 2004 my father, Sonny Wilcox, purchased a house on the lake also. My uncle, Dan Hodges, still has my grandparents original property, although he has recently built a beautiful new home on the site. So as you can see,The Lake is very special to my family. We live in Carthage,Ms and nothing is better than time spent at "The Lake."
